About f.w.Taylor


f.w.taylor is known as the father of the scientific management. He started his career as an apprentice in a small machine shop.his ideas about management grew out his wide range experience in three companies. he found that there was a rampant wastage and efficiently . workers were perfuming, much below their capacity.the main cause of widespread ineffeciently and wastage was ignorance on the part of both workers and management.


taylor defines management as the art of knowling exactly what you want men to do and seeing that they do it in the best and chepest way. the objective of the management shoult be to secure the maximum prosperity for both the employer and the employees. he stated that the best management is the true science based upon certainly clearly defined principles.he exhorted both managers and workers to substitute both scientific investigation and knowledge in place of individual involvement and experience in all maters related in work done in the organisation.
